This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on this website ("the Site"), operated by Lokmanhekim Law Firm ("the Firm"), and how you can manage them. It forms part of the Firm's obligation to inform under Article 10 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 ("KVKK") and takes into account the Guideline on Cookie Applications published by the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority in June 2022.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) by a website you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide site owners with aggregate information about how their site is used.
2. Legal Framework and Consent
Under the KVKK and the Personal Data Protection Authority's cookie guidance:
- Strictly necessary cookies, without which the Site cannot function properly or a service you have expressly requested cannot be provided, are used without explicit consent, on the legal grounds set out in Article 5/2 of the KVKK (in particular the performance of the service you request and the legitimate interest in operating a secure website).
- All other cookies (functional, performance/analytics, advertising/targeting) are used only with your explicit consent within the meaning of Article 5/1 of the KVKK, which you may give or refuse through the cookie banner shown when you first visit the Site, and may withdraw at any time.
The Site does not use advertising or targeting cookies.
3. Cookies Used on the Site
The Site is built on the Wix platform, and the cookies placed are primarily those required for the operation, security, and performance of that platform. The table below lists the cookies typically set on Wix-based sites. Durations are indicative and are based on Wix platform documentation; the current and complete list applicable to the Site can be viewed at any time through the cookie settings panel on the Site.
| Cookie | Purpose | Category | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| XSRF-TOKEN | Security; prevents cross-site request forgery | Strictly necessary | Session |
| hs | Security | Strictly necessary | Session |
| svSession | Identifies the visitor's session so that the platform functions correctly | Strictly necessary | Persistent (up to 2 years) |
| bSession | Measures the effectiveness and stability of the platform | Strictly necessary | 30 minutes |
| TS* (e.g. TS01xxxxxx) | Security and anti-fraud | Strictly necessary | Session |
| consent-policy | Stores your cookie banner choices | Strictly necessary | 12 months |
| SSR-caching | Indicates how the page was rendered, for faster loading | Performance | Short term (up to 24 hours) |
| fedops.logger.sessionId | Records stability and error data to improve the platform | Performance | 12 months |
| smSession | Keeps registered site members logged in (only if a member area is used) | Strictly necessary | Persistent |
The online appointment booking feature runs on the same platform and may set additional functional cookies of the same character when you use it. If a feature requiring third-party cookies is added to the Site in the future, this Policy and the cookie banner will be updated before such cookies are used.
4. How You Can Manage Cookies
You can manage cookies in the following ways:
- Through the cookie banner and settings panel on the Site: you may accept or refuse non-essential cookies when you first visit, and change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link on the Site.
- Through your browser: most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies through their settings menus. Guidance is available for each major browser: Google Chrome, Safari, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge each publish instructions under their privacy or cookie settings pages.
Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Site, including the contact form and the appointment booking feature, from functioning properly.
5. Personal Data Processed Through Cookies
To the extent that data collected through cookies (such as your IP address and browsing behavior on the Site) constitutes personal data, it is processed in accordance with the Privacy Notice and the Privacy Policy published on the Site, and is subject to the rights granted to you under Article 11 of the KVKK.
